Favignana: Spiagge Bellisime

Favignana è posizionata a circa una quindicina di chilometri da Trapani e a circa una ventina di minuti di navigazione in aliscafo. E’ l’isola più grande dell’arcipelago ed anche la più frequentata dai turisti. L’economia dell’isola è stata legata in passato alla pesca del tonno. Non appena ci si avvicina con l’aliscafo, o in traghetto, si può scorgere la famosa tonnara della famiglia Florio, costruita nel XIX secolo. Oggi l’isola è famosa soprattutto per le bellissime spiagge, le coste basse e frastagliate e per il limpido mare dai colori straordinari.

Il paese è stato costruito con il tufo, la giallina pietra locale di Favignana, proveniente dalle diverse cave, che si possono scorgere dappertutto sull’isola. Ricca di storia, oggi l’isola riesce a coniugare il nuovo con l’antico e le tradizioni, e soprattutto in estate offre tanto divertimento alle migliaia di turisti, che la popolano.
